Starting from flax seed is possible to perform the preparation of a hair gel completely natural. The preparation of the gel according to the linseed simply involves the use of water and the seeds themselves, according to a procedure that allows them to release mucilages, until the formation, in contact with water, a gelatinous substance perfect to use in order to keep the hair without fear of damaging them or grease them.
Indeed, the gel flaxseed can play a real nourishing effect towards the hair, making them at the same time soft and shiny.
Flaxseed Gel: basic recipe
The basic recipe for the preparation of the gel flaxseed involves the use of:
60 grams of linseed
400 milliliters of water
Leave to soak flax seed in the water that will have paid in a saucepan for one night, in order to facilitate the formation of mucilage. The morning heated on the stove the seeds with their liquid, until they will tend to rise readily to the surface. You can arrive to bring the mixture to a boil and then lower the flame, prolonging the cooking until the gel will not be well-formed.
At this point you just need to filter your flaxseed gel with the help of a strainer into a glass. You can add to the preparation of a teaspoon of lemon juice and mix. The
gel of flax seed thus prepared can be transferred in a dispenser or in a
container with a lid and kept in the refrigerator without problems for
at least 3 days. The
gel flaxseed can also be frozen in ice cubes trays and used as
appropriate, after allowing it to thaw at room temperature in the
desired quantity.1) Gel flaxseed essential oil of tangerine
10 drops of essential oil of tangerine
1/4 teaspoon of citric acid
A particularly fragrant gel flax seed can be obtained using the essential oil of tangerine. In this version, also, the addition of lemon juice is replaced by a small amount of citric acid. The
two ingredients must be added to the gel of flax seeds prepared
according to the basic recipe, simply with water and linseed, once the
gel will be formed and will have been filtered and transferred into a
glass. And 'advisable to mix the ingredients using a wooden stick.2) Gel with flaxseed essential oil of cloves
1/4 teaspoon of citric acid
5 drops of lemon essential oil
5 drops of essential oil of cloves
In gel linseed citric acid acts as a preservative. The essential oil of cloves performs the action of a natural antibacterial agent. The
ingredients must be added to the gel of flax seeds prepared according
to the basic recipe and mixed to it before the gel is transferred in a
dispenser or other container.3) Gel flaxseed oil avocado
½ teaspoon of avocado oil
½ cuchhiaino of agave syrup
10 drops of vegetable glycerin
By
adding these three ingredients to gel flaxseed prepared according to
the basic recipe you can obtain a product particularly nutritious and
fixative, suitable to be applied on curly hair still wet in order to
define the best waves and curls. The gel of flax seeds must be applied to the hair little at a time until obtaining the desired result.
4) Gel flaxseed flowers of hibiscus
60 grams of linseed
400 ml of water
2 teaspoons of dried hibiscus flowers
Here is a recipe that involves the use of an infusion of hibiscus flowers (karkadé) instead of water alone for the preparation of the gel flaxseed. The use of the infusion will allow for a slightly reddish color gel, suitable to give some more reflection to the hair red or brown. The flowers of hibiscus will be left in infusion in boiling water for 10 minutes. The infusion should be filtered and allowed to cool before you move on to soak flax seeds and proceed according to the basic recipe.
5) Gel flaxseed chamomile
2 teaspoons of dried chamomile flowers
400 ml of water
60 grams of linseed
Prepare an infusion of chamomile letting it rest for ten minutes in boiling water, two teaspoons of dried flowers or a normal packet of chamomile. Sorted the infusion and let it cool before moving to the preparation of the gel flaxseed, continuing according to the instructions of the basic recipe, although in this case the water is replaced infusion so chamomile. We recommend adding a teaspoon of lemon juice as a preservative. The gel flaxseed chamomile is particularly suitable for light hair.
Of course, the quantities of ingredients listed for each recipe may be increased proportionally according to their needs, in particular if you want to prepare the gel flaxseed to be frozen for later use.
